Oscar Kuperman is an experienced Argentine tango dancer & teacher. He is also the father of our young tango spirer, Martin Pablo, whom he is visiting in Aarhus from october 5-20.

Oscar Kuperman has generously offered to teach two tangolabs – with Lise Trautner assisting him in the class demonstrations.

The topic on october 16 will be the Chacarera

This evening, you are invited to join us for an introduction to Chacarera – or for a refresher if it has been a while since you last danced it.

Every once in a while at the Milonga – the DJ will invite everyone onto the dance floor to dance the Chacarera – a tradition from

Argentine Folklore.

Part of the beauty of the Chacarera is its playful, flirtatious energy and the way it highlights feminine and masculine energies – you are encouraged to have fun, explore, and play with both roles 🙂

Cupermans description of this tangolab:

Oct 16: Chacarera en Ronda: An Argentine Folklore Experience

Discover the essential elements of Chacarera, a lively dance from Argentine folklore, including the basic step, zarandeo and zapateo. We will explore its rhythm, movement and playful energy before dancing together in a circle and sharing the experience with the whole group
